While the Gedeo Zone is famous for its Yirgacheffe region, there are countless small farms with amazing heirloom coffees beyond. At only 255 farmers, the Halo Bariti co-op hails from the highest altitudes in all of Ethiopia, where beans grow slower, denser, and sweeter.
The moment we tasted the top-rated 2021 harvest, we had to share it. Clean, yet deep with dark jams and berries, a touch of chocolate, and lingering full-throat aromas of cask spirits... it's both unique and quintessential.

Loric's mission to make amazing instant coffee began with love for the reknowned Guji Region. This landrace coffee comes from the Benti Nenka village, and is processed at a single local wet mill.
The ancestral traditions of the Oromo people are esteemed for producing balanced coffees, grown on smallholder farms, alongside food crops, with few modern conveniences. This traditional approach results in farm-to-cup quality that drove us to this tasty proof-of-concept.

HOW CAN INSTANT COFFEE BE GOOD?
Classic industrial processes make instant coffee by recklessly liquifying beans and spray-drying them to get the most product mass possible. This profit-driven approach destroys anything beyond the most basic flavors.

When you put some of our golden dust next to the commerical stuff, you'll be shocked and appalled at what they've done.
Loric is made in the smallest batches possible, roasted to each bean's profile, and brewed in our state-of-the-art Voga Ground Control to dial in incredible smoothness. There's no shorter path to a perfect cup.
HOW DO I MAKE LORIC COFFEE?
- Shake Loric into your favorite mug
- Pour in 8-12oz of hot (or cold!) water
- Stir a bit
- Add whatever else you want
- DRINK
HOW DOES LORIC IMPACT THE EARTH?
Loric buys coffee only from sustainable small farms. Small batches allow for minimal waste water, and 40-70% of our energy use is solar. While we must use non-recyclable mylar pouches for long storage life, they're 90% post-consumer kraft.

Very simple: Loric NFTs are an exclusive pass to a certain amount of supply in our Archive. Once redemptions are live, owners can claim as much as each NFT supply includes.
